HPP Rooftop
The terrace belongs to a five-storey historical building located in Karaköy which is used for an advertising agency. The space has transformed as a 30 m2 idle and unused rooftop terrace into a breathing space for client’s team and guests.
Designed as a place to rest during working hours with the leveled seating deck overlooking the Golden Horn, the terrace has also been imagined as a relaxing and a chill party space for both the employees and visiting customers. The fabric covers on top creates a play of light and color while interacting with shadows and sunlight. Outdoor air-conditioning units have been covered with painted bamboo panels.
The materials and the colors that have been used were voluntarily chosen independently of, even in contrast with, the agency’s corporate identity, especially in order to promise a little surprising experience.
