Fırat Strategy - New Age Routes
Fırat is the longest river and a junction for eight cities in the eastern Turkey. This cooperative book project is about defining the major problems of Fırat region and suggest practical recipes from the river element and create ideas for local initiative support programs to develop an urban strategy.
For the common values of the region and layers of cultures, the main problems and opportunities are identified with urban designers, architects and municipality teams of surrounded cities. There are eight chapters in the guideline book to determine the priorities, suggest action plans via designer’s eye.
“New Age Routes” chapter is about the design of routes fed from new age journey experience to create convenient values using design thinking and shared economy and defining the user expectations.
